Welcome to Inter Msafiri Smart
A platform developed and managed by Interconnectedness Consultants Group Limited (ICC Group), headquartered at Inter House Building, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Inter Msafiri Smart's digital services, including mobile applications, websites, APIs, and any associated offerings.
By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, kindly refrain from using the platform.
1. Definitions
"ICC Group" | Interconnectedness Consultants Group Limited, the creators and exclusive IP owners of Inter Msafiri Smart. |
"Platform" | The digital ecosystem under Inter Msafiri Smart, including the app, websites, dashboards, systems, and associated services. |
"User", "You" | Individuals, transport operators, vendors, or organizations accessing or using our services. |
"Content" | Includes text, visuals, data, code, software, trademarks, or any intellectual assets presented on the platform. |
2. Acceptance of Terms
2.1. By signing up, logging in, accessing, or using any part of Inter Msafiri Smart, you affirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old or using the platform under adult supervision.
- Agree to use the services lawfully and ethically.
- Will comply with these Terms and applicable local, regional, and international regulations.

3.1. Inter Msafiri Smart provides seamless, smart, and secure digital mobility services for:
3.2. ICC Group, through the Inter Msafiri Smart platform, acts as a technology aggregator and facilitator for online ticket bookings. We enable passengers to search, compare, and book seats from a network of independent operators.
3.3. ICC Group does not own, operate, or manage any fleet or transport service directly.
4. Ticketing and Journey Information
4.1. The departure and arrival times displayed on the platform are indicative and subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic, weather, or operational issues.
4.2. The bus will not depart earlier than the time mentioned on the ticket. However, delays beyond ICC Group's control may occur.
4.3. Passengers are strongly advised to contact the bus operator directly for final confirmation of departure times and boarding points, as shown on the ticket.
5. Passenger Boarding Requirements
5.1. Passengers must present the following at the boarding point:
5.2. Passengers are advised to arrive at the designated boarding point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Failure to do so may result in denial of boarding.
6. Booking Confirmation & Notifications
6.1. Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed once the confirmation page is displayed on the platform, regardless of SMS or email delivery status.
6.2. Notifications
While we strive to deliver timely notifications, ICC Group shall not be held responsible for SMS or email delays/failures due to factors outside its control.
6.3. Support
If confirmation messages are not received, passengers may contact our support team for assistance and message re-sending.
7. Payment and Charges
7.1. Payment Gateway
Unless explicitly stated, ICC Group does not impose additional payment gateway charges beyond the fare and operator-defined fees.
7.2. Service Fees
Any service fees, platform charges, or cancellation handling fees will be clearly shown during the booking process.
8. ICC Group Responsibilities
Generate and issue valid bus tickets through its affiliated operators and partners.
Send ticket confirmations and cancellations via SMS or email.
Provide voice, email, and chat-based customer support for booking, cancellation, and refund queries.
9. Limitations of ICC Group Responsibility
9.1. ICC Group and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform use.
- Service delays or disruptions caused by third-party networks or unforeseen circumstances.
- Data loss or account breaches resulting from user negligence or insecure devices.
9.2. ICC Group shall not be held responsible for:
- Errors in data input by the customer
- Bus delays, no-shows, or accidents
- Misconduct by operator staff
- Baggage loss or damage
- Customer no-shows or late arrivals
- Wrong boarding points
- Changes to bus amenities
- Operator's baggage policies
Note: Most operators allow 15–20kg of luggage per passenger. For non-standard luggage (e.g., boxes, electronics, fragile goods, or animals), passengers should verify acceptability with the operator before travel.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
10.1. Ownership
All intellectual property rights in the platform including but not limited to software architecture, design systems, codebase, trademarks, logos, trade names, original content, audio-visuals, system architecture, dashboards, and proprietary algorithms are the sole and exclusive property of ICC Group.
10.2. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, replicate, reverse engineer, redistribute, or reproduce any part of the platform without written permission.
- Use our branding, name, or likeness without authorization.
- Extract data, content, or platform structure for competitive purposes or for resale.
10.3. Any unauthorized use, including imitation, cloning, or unauthorized partnerships, will constitute a breach of our intellectual property rights and may result in legal action.
11. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms vary by operator and are clearly stated during booking and printed on tickets.
Tickets booked online must be cancelled online; offline or verbal cancellations are not recognized.
ICC Group may charge a platform cancellation handling fee, separate from operator cancellation charges.
Preponement or postponement of travel is not allowed once the ticket is confirmed.
14. Data Protection and Privacy
Your data is protected under our Privacy Policy
We comply with Tanzania's Data Protection Act and international digital privacy laws (where applicable). We do not sell your data. We use your data to:
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction within Dar es Salaam, unless otherwise specified in a formal agreement.
